I specialize in helping children feel safe and fostering secure connections within families. Also in working with adults who want to process trauma and grief with Brainspotting.

I received a degree in sociology and anthropology from Warren Wilson College in 2014, and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lenoir-Rhyne University in 2018.

My work in the mental health field began as a direct care staff in a residential setting, where I quickly found my life’s calling in the helping profession. In almost a decade, I have had the honor to work with children, adolescents, parents, and families in diverse settings on their path to optimal wellness. These experiences have provided me with a deep appreciation for the challenges both individuals and their family systems face, and the strength it can take to ask for help.

I have experience working with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, interpersonal challenges, family difficulties, and externalizing behaviors. I utilize a solution-focused, strengths-based perspective to assist children, adolescents, and their families in healing. My counseling approach is collaborative, direct, nonjudgmental, and playful.

I have received additional trainings in Child-Centered Play, Sand Tray Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), relationship-based trauma informed care, the Collaborative and Proactive Solutions (CPS) model, and Brainspotting. My mission is to create a safe environment in which a child’s innate capacity to thrive is unleashed.

I also offer Brainspotting therapy to adult clients with anxiety, trauma, and emotional suffering. Brainspotting is a powerful mind-body modality that accesses deeper parts of the brain, when you have found yourself “stuck” in traditional talk therapy.
