About Online Services

Our Online Services option makes it easy for you to access our services even if we can’t meet in our Asheville offices (which do not meet ADA regulations). This means we can serve anyone anywhere for counseling in North Carolina and anyone anywhere in the world for Relationship Coaching and Parent and Co-Parenting Coaching.

All you need is a computer or mobile device with internet connection. You effortlessly join the video session by simply clicking a link provided. (There’s no software you need to download.) Sessions are protected with bank-level encryption and security – they’re completely safe, secure, and HIPAA-compliant.

We decided to offer online services after we considered the many barriers, concerns, and doubts that clients have when they try to access in-person services. The current reality is that online services makes getting help more accessible, confidential, and comfortable for many more people. Our clients report feeling less stressed at the start of sessions, more at ease during sessions, and, quite frankly, more able to show up on a consistent basis.

Reasons Online Counseling May Be a Good Fit for You:

  • Geography We provide counseling to anyone living anywhere in North Carolina. Our Relationship Coaching and Parent and Co-Parent Coaching services are available to anyone anywhere in the world.
  • Transportation Who wants to deal with car issues and traffic if you don’t have to?
  • Caregiver responsibilities No need to find alternatives if you are the primary caregiver for your child, parent, or partner.
  • Accessibility Unfortunately our offices are not accessible for people with mobility issues and do not meet ADA requirements.
  • Convenience We’re available when you’re available—even during your lunch hour.
  • Weather We don’t want to risk travel on unsafe roads—and we don’t want you to either.
  • Work/Life Balance Ideal if your work requires long hours or travel.
  • Comfort Imagine receiving counseling with your beloved pet by your side. Who doesn’t want that?
  • Privacy Ideal if you have concerns about waiting room or parking lot encounters.
  • Safety Ideal for survivors of intimate partner violence or anyone with safety concerns.

A further note about our practice: We take responsibility for learning about current systems of oppression and how they do harm. We take accountability for our missteps and micro-aggressions. We consistently work to create an environment that is welcoming and affirming of people from different races/ethnicities, sexualities, gender identities, class strata, abilities, and religious/spiritual orientations. We have taken special training and received supervision around these identities/systems and have the ability to consult with someone around identities we don’t personally hold.

All of our clients are seen, heard, and valued for exactly who they are.
